I am selling this 80W light that I bought in November just in case it was needed during a shoot. It probably has less than 10 hours of runtime but I don’t have anywhere in the house to keep it set up so I’m not likely to use it often.
This light would be best for someone who does still-life, product, or portrait photography and has a space to keep the softbox assembled. It can take a good bit of finagling to set up the softbox because the spokes are all separate. More expensive models have collapsible spokes for easy deployment.
I bought this light from B&H during their Black Friday sale for $160 (incl tax) and am looking to sell it for $125 in-person. I’ll show you how to assemble the softbox and operate the light.
I am new to lighting and wrote up my experience here which you might find helpful:
At the time of writing, B&H is having another sale and some of the GVM and other lights are on sale so you may want to consider those options as well. This is another 80W version with a softbox but it doesn’t accept on-body batteries. It also looks like the airflow might not be as good but it still might fit your needs: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1513594-REG/gvm_p80s_2_fresnel_light.html
